Health Principal Secretary Ouma Oluga’s elder brother, Andy Oluga, has praised him as “one of life’s greatest blessings” in an emotional birthday message shared online.
Andy reflected on their late father, Sir Blundell Willis Oluga, and imagined the pride he would feel seeing how far his youngest son had come.
“I can almost picture our late father… looking at you with that unmistakable pride,” Andy wrote. “From the little boy he named Fredrick Nixon Ouma Oluga to the distinguished Dr Ouma Oluga you are today, what a journey it has been!”
He said the family’s father might have asked his son “a few difficult questions just to keep you humble” before celebrating his achievements.
Andy described the PS as more than a brother, calling him “a piece of my heart, a chapter of my story, and a blessing I will never take for granted.”
He wished Oluga good health, happiness, wisdom and peace in the year ahead, adding that he hoped his success would continue to touch many lives.
“If Daddy were here, I believe he would look at you with immense pride and say, ‘My son, you have done well,’” Andy wrote.
He ended the tribute with an affectionate message: “You will always be my baby brother, no matter how many titles you collect or how important you become.”
