The dragnet over the fatal shooting of lawyer Mathew Kyalo Mbobu has widened, with detectives arresting a second suspect as an intelligence-led operation targeting persons linked to the murder intensifies.
Nicholas Lemiso Naula was arrested today within Nairobi’s Central Business District, following sustained efforts by detectives to trail down persons suspected to have been involved in the September 9, 2025 murder.
Lemiso is the Bodabida rider who ferried the main suspect Police Constable Julius Cheruiyot to and from the scene.
His arrest comes hot on the heels of that of Cheruiyot, who was earlier arrested in connection with the murder.
The two suspects are currently in custody undergoing processing, as detectives pursue fresh leads and close in on other suspects.
The operation remains active, with the DCI leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to unravel the full circumstances surrounding Lawyer Mbobu’s murder and bring all those responsible to justice.
